More signs of warmer weather

I was pleased to see this caterpillar in the garden.
It is I THINK, the larva of the Square - spot rustic moth.

Pleased because it is yet another sign of the stirring of new Spring life.

While photogrpahing it, a robin tweeted near me. I straightened up to find it and before you could say Xestia xanthographa, the robin grabbed it and few off.


Signs of life indeed.
