Wellingtonia Tree Sculpture

According to the information board.... 
Two iconic Wellingtonia trees (Sequoia) stood here for a century. The lodge and trees were at the entrance to the drive and grounds of Ridge House. Sadly one of the giant trees had to be chopped down in October 2017 due to disease. Yate Town Council commissioned local chainsaw artist, Andy O'Neill, who grew up on the Ridge, to create a commemorative sculpture from the remains of the trunk.


And what a magnificent result I say.
