Longley Wood
MONDAY
I have a few days off work this week as I have outstanding leave to take before the end of the financial year.
I headed out on a run without a route plan and just made it up as I went along. I headed over Norland and then picked up a series of footpaths following the contours along the side of the Ryburn Valley. The path through Longely Wood was a first for me. You can see from the photo the steepness of the valley side that I eventually had to climb.
I ended up, as usual, on the top of the moor before heading home.
Lots of mud and ice in places made for slow going.
11.5 km
