Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

Becky and Daniel took Archie down to the Meadows for possibly the last day of decent snow. Yes! It’s beginning to thaw at last.

I watched the Raonic/Djokovic match, then more skiing and shooting for quite while before I realised it was the same footage as yesterday.

Rugby in the afternoon, and a great game again. I don’t know why teams keep giving away penalties - don’t they know the rules?

In the evening we had our treat of the month - we popped across to see Hazel, our bubble. And we had such tasty nibbles! Little blinis with quail’s egg, smoked salmon and caviar, shrimp cocktail in wee lettuce leaves, and crispy wontons. Accompanied by a rather nice rosé.

Archie was happy at home with his bone, still chewing it when we came home four hours later.

And we could cross the road without stepping in any snow! Yay!
