This is the same scene as Wednesday, though slightly abstracted. Where the façade of the Odeon used to be on Angel Row there's now this interesting brace construction that seems, rather worryingly, to be stopping the buildings on either side falling into each other. The hole in the line of shopfronts is like a missing tooth. I'll not get sentimental about the loss of our High Street cinemas, as this one has been closed for nearly twelve years already. It's taken an age to get a suitable project through the planning stage, apparently, though they're now just putting up yet more 'purpose-built' student flats (for 'purpose-built students', presumably!) The last film I saw here (I may already have mentioned this) was a sneaky afternoon showing of 'Sleepy Hollow' where I was the only person in the audience...
