2021 Sunday — Valentine’s Day

I never get tried of this view. I refer to it as “the road home” or “Cayucos in view.” Today, Sunday of a 3-day weekend, Valentine’s Day, the traffic was thick.

But look at — the clouds that had been smoothed with a spatula; the three layers of hills; the white sea salty foam; and the houses illuminated with the lowering sun.

Sometimes when we’ve been gone for a couple weeks or possibly a month, we crest that hill and it’s spine-tingling.
