my apartment documentation has moved from the bathroom into my bedroom -which, actually, looks remarkably similar to the bathroom. same crumbling paint; same ancient grime. the apartment's proximity to Lakeshore Drive means that decades of soot has floated through the window and deposited itself in the nooks around the window's sill and jamb. makes me wonder what nooks in my lungs look like.
