Journies at home

Coming home

It has been 10 years since I posted my last photo here and I feel I've come back home.  10 years ago my children were little, I lived in the middle of the countryside, I was married, I worked at the university in Toulouse (I know all this because I flipped through my almost 200 Blip photo entries yesterday)
Since then I have divorced, slipped 15kms south across the département border, the (then) regional border, across the hills and the river and settled in Mirepoix.  Since then the children have grown, my parents have aged, while I totter on between the two generations.  Brexit happened, Trump happened, Boris happened, Covid happened.
I started a journal 13 years ago and called it journies at home.  I feel that I've travelled a great deal since my last entry.  Over and above the 15kms, a great deal has changed.  Covid obliges we continue our journies at home and so shall I.
I remarried; a mairie wedding, a simple party, trestle tables along the bank of the canal infront of the water mill my husband bought a year to the day we met.
This is my story and here is my step grandson with his grandfather.
