Log pond is complete - almost
I finished up pouring the log pond yesterday and it is well set today. The logs actually look like they are floating! Used Magic Water - my favorite product. Tinted the water with some paint as a log pond is grody for sure. The second layer of scenery is almost done around the pond - maybe a few more weeds. I am finishing up painting some figures to be working n the log pond with timber poles, and more over in the shorting shed stacking new cut lumber. Also have a log truck kit to make - it will be dumping logs off the gravel road at the bottom of the pond. The rectangular platform to the left is a scale. Still have a A frame crane to install that will be to dump off the log truck logs.
Today I am laying track on the left side of the mill for the little tug and trailers that transport stacks of cut lumber to the drying yard, and eventually to the loading dock. Between us that tiny rail is a real pain somewhere south.
I will blip the scene again when tram and figures are in. Then - finally I get to make a whole bunch of aspen trees for the foreground. his is using Super Trees from Scenic Express. Actually looking forward to it.
