Afternoon tea

Rudely awoken at 6 by the puppy whining but before I could move I heard Miss PHL go down to let him out. It all went quiet so I assumed she’d put him back to bed but when I went down at 8 I found them both dozing on the sofa.

Took him out for a crunchy walk which he really enjoyed before making some pinwheels (sausage meat spread over puff pasty then rolled and sliced before baking. I knocked up a few scones which worked much better than my last batch. Afternoon tea arrived promptly and I decanted into onto cake stands.

A lovely chat with the ladies whilst keeping an eye on the rugby. From the little I watched, Wales were the better team.

Some leftovers from last night have topped me up nicely.
