Freezing!

Bubble friend H wanted to get out, so arranged to meet her up in St Ives for a takeaway coffee and a wander.  The lake was frozen at the point where we usually feed the ducks, but we fed them a little further on.  H always wants to sit down part way round the pond, and it was absolutely freezing today - I was shivering and she was boiling!!  We then went to the bird hide as she had brought squirrel food.  Lots of squirrels around and they loved the monkey nuts in particular.  This little chap stayed around for ages, and chased others off when they came near “his” food.  I know some people don’t like them, and call them tree rats, but for all their downsides they are pretty cute to look at and watch!  Sitting in there with my camera my fingers were numb as it was bitingly cold, so when H went back to her car I took a longer route home and did a brisk walk to warm up!
