Redwing

It's been bitterly cold today with ponds frozen and a chilly wind blowing.  I did get two loads of washing dry though which was a bonus.

On my walk this morning I spotted a flock of redwing feeding in the castle field.  I went home and got my longer lens as they were quite a distance away.  I would imagine that yesterday's fieldfare was part of the same group as they stay together in a flock of mixed thrushes.
