An angel at my shoulder

Through Laura's ecclesiastical contacts I have been booked to photograph details of St John the Baptist Church in Holland Park.

Today it's '12 Stations of the Cross' in beautiful mosaic.

It's a jaw droppingly beautiful space with so many things to look at. When I came to do a recce the other day there were two things that stood out immediately, the angels and the wood carving (see extra).

I was enthusing about the angels afterwards with Laura when she whispered "but don't they look a bit like Margaret Thatcher?"
