Two headed ?

Shortly between spotting these two friendly creatures we had a close encounter with a large fox who suddenly darted across our path . Sadly, the decline in wildlife has been going on for over 10, 000 years if Nicholas Crane (The making of the British countryside) is to be believed . We also saw a bird of prey perching in the trees and a Song Thrush browsing , nothing to remark upon in some areas but not a common sight around here .
The weather dry and sunny , the ground frozen underfoot , perfect for the long walk we have just enjoyed .
