Signposts

On top of Liddington Hill between the clump of trees and the castle is this signpost. It gives pointers for the various ways to go and also tells you where you have come from.

I wonder if Moses found a signpost the first time he climbed Mount Sinai - I somehow suspect not! But he went up there to collect God given instructions on the best way to live life. Several start with "You will ..." and then the rest start with "You must not ..." (my modern English equivalent!)

These were summed up later in just 2 commands (again in my words) - Love God, Respect Others. Somewhat fewer words than the laws we have today, but if we could all live by those rules I reckon the world would be a much better place.
