Went over the rental house this morning to have a look at their outside light. It just needed a new light bulb. They are lovely boys (2nd year students) but don’t really have a clue about anything practical! Sorted a few things with j and headed home. Was about to go for a walk when I had a surprise visit from one of the people I bought the house from. She was very apologetic about the rubbish and gave me a substantial cheque so that I could get it sorted. Had a nice chat standing on the doorstep!
Went up to the bank to pay it in - ages since I got a cheque! Home again and phoned C and then finally headed out for my walk . Walked along the canal which is only 5 minutes from home. Sun had gone in by then though so it was bitterly cold . Fingers cold even with furry gloves!
