An Early Start
Lockdown 3 - Day 38
We were up at 6.30am, packed the car, had a quick breakfast and the we set off for mums. We’d had a fine layer of snow overnight again and everywhere was frozen and looked lovely with the sunrise, so I managed a quick Blip before we left.
Our journey was great and we were at mums for 12.15pm. We unpacked the car and Alan set up his laptop and started work straight away. He had a meeting with his boss at 1.30pm and told her that he’d be working late as he’d not started work until 12.30pm, but she told him not to worry as he’s more than made the time up having had a very late meeting the other night. His boss and the majority of his team is based in the US and some times he has meetings late in the day/evening.
Alan drove and I spent most of the journey arranging house viewings for Saturday, and we now have 7 of our favourites to view - most are in Colwyn Bay, one in Llandudno (which is where we’d really like to be) and two in Upper Prestatyn.
Mum’s hospital appointment was at 2pm, so I was able to take her, snd saved my cousin the journey. They told me she’d be a few hours so after dropping her, I went to Sainsbury’s and did her shopping and had time to go home and put it away before they called to say she was ready.
Everything went well with the operation and she was feeling fine, we’ve now just got to deal with the numerous eye drops she has to use for a month!
It’s been a non stop day and we were both tired tonight, so it’s an early night for us!
