Beautiful bully

Starlings have a poor reputation - they are black and noisy, raid the bird feeders in gangs, and the smaller birds have no option but to flee. However, they are beautiful;  their sleek plumage looks to be black with pale spots in winter but in the sunlight it shines with a colourful iridescence of purple, green and blue. This one shows the beginning of the colour on the wing. So handsome - what pity he chased off the Robin only half his size - see extra.
