Brazilian tat

Struggling for ideas today - too busy 'sorting my life out' but found this which was what we bought back from Ipanema. I thought we would regret it and I am starting too - where the hell do you hang a brightly coloured piece of wood. I think the cellar, but the boy disagrees.

This thing that is supposedly handcrafted within the favelas of Rio cost us around £25. The boy thought it would be ok in hand luggage but was seen as a weapon through security so we had to pay another £12 to get it wrapped and put it in the hold. I hope we have learnt our lesson when souvenir shopping on the next holiday but I doubt it.
