Ingleton Branch Line (at Ireby)

Dan has developed an interest in playing football. I'm not sure whether this is to do with the actual game or simply that it gives an opportunity to run around with a couple of friends.

I have to say that both he and Abi have been absolutely brilliant housemates during this lockdown but both clearly miss the company of their friends. Thus, I'm very happy to facilitate the trips between Kirkby Lonsdale and High Bentham, which is where Dan and his friends play.

When I went to pick him up, this afternoon, I took the Ireby Road between the A65 and Burton in Lonsdale, which includes a bridge over the old railway. This is the view east towards Ingleton. I'm intrigued by that curve to the left of the track: I wonder what was there?
