Up and over

Probably the coldest day of the year so far and the car doors, the front ones, were frozen. I climbed in through the boot with self-satisfying speed and agility which I put down to my daily yoga. Even after the windows had unfrozen the door were still firmly stuck. This meant I had to walk to get the shopping – mainly E’s. I packed a huge amount into a backpack and it felt fairly weightless, so a good design. By the time I got home the sun had done its work and doors were liberated.
The rest of the morning was spent erecting (vicariously) the new blind – after a botched attempt by us. TaskRabbit did a great job, however he did encounter the same difficulty and it took him an hour to sort it so I felt vindicated. I had half an ear to the FM’s briefing and got the gist that although case still high the positivity rate was only 4%. Later having checked in with the Travelling Tabby I noticed that the number of tests was over 24k, so a 4% positivity rate is excellent. Just need to get the border issue sorted now.
The blip was taken in haste as I realised mid-afternoon that the options would be limited – I didn’t feel like another excursion and I’m a bit fed up with trees in snow – I enjoy other people’s, its my own that fails to thrill.
