Sloe gin
Yesterday was sloe berry picking day, and my neighbours kindly offered freezer space in return for a bottle of sloe gin at Christmas. I thought that was a pretty sweet deal. This is only the second year of making homemade sloe gin, but can see it becoming a Christmas tradition. My mom and I exchange ideas and recipes to refine the perfect sloe gin, and also when the perfect time for picking is after the frost.
I measured and mixed all the ingredients and in my enthusiasm realised had doubled the sugar... oops! Let’s see what happens :)
Also, it’s nearly time for the Christmas jumper to come out, this will be my first proper overwintering in the UK.
