new approach!

It seems to be working...i've had a few hours today noodling with paint!   So, i usually start off with a pencil outline when i'm using a reference photo...but it feels like i get caught in the outline of the image.   so, this time i just used my palette knife and did some gestures that were similar to the photo reference.   so far so good!!!   we'll see what tomorrow brings.

In other news: Jane came by for a lovely 'arty' chat then dinner....we had a very enjoyable evening!
