Even more snow
There had been heavy overnight snow bringing chaos to the roads. I had an essential journey to make that took me over an hour when it should have only been 15 minutes. Three times I thought I was stuck due to packed snow and lack of traction. Not sure the clutch was very happy.
There was fresh snow after lunch and then more sunshine as we walked through the sledge park full of happy sledgers of all ages. It’s half term week here which coincided perfectly with the arrival of the snow. Everything else that might have been a half term distraction is closed at the moment.
We trudged through the deep snow on the golf course and looped back into Porty to buy fresh vegetables. We came returned along the snowy beach and watched another snow squall blow in and turned us into human yeti as we trudged up the hill to home.
Lockdown has some advantages. One is the increased conversation with our neighbours, socially distanced, in the street. The slightly longer lighter evenings are helping too.
Bring on the spring!
