Entry refused
A has been carrying out repairs on the Bothy. The floors have been cleared of many years-worth of pigeon droppings and all the windows have been sealed either with wooden slats or wire netting.
The pigeons are in a state of confusion. Each morning they line up on the roof, as if to discuss the day's tactics for gaining entry: 'Anyone got any new ideas'?
If they had hands or hips to put them on, I imagine that is how they would be standing.
Some birds sit all day on the window sills which previously provided a good entry point. Others pace up and down the roof, checking and rechecking for gaps between broken slates, which are now no more.
Entry refused.
