Moose & Hoose / Elch & Haus

We pass this impressive creature on our daily cycle to kindergarten. I find the icicle beard rather suits him.

He lives at what we lazily call the “reindeer house”, though surely he’s more of an elk? Or a moose I guess - more North American, but then we can call it the “moose hoose”.

Or will that too get confused with a “hoose moose”, which according to the Scots language version of Wikipedia (who knew there was such a thing) is “a smaw mammal o the order Rodentia, kenspeckle for its pyntit snoot, smaw roond lugs, an a lang nakit tail”. Not at all the same thing!
