The Bandstand

I love the ornate ironwork on this bandstand. Love the colours they have chosen to paint it.
Each August it comes to life when a Regimental Band plays in it for The Shrewsbury Flower Show. The sun shines and deckchairs are dotted around the stand and there is never a spare seat to be had to sit and listen to the performances. It is like something out of ‘Darling Buds of May’. There is something very comforting about the continuation of times gone by.
