Snowy Arch
It was quite a workout to walk round the Meadows today. It felt as though I was trekking to the North Pole in similar polar temperatures.
The overnight snow was deep and crisp and even and covered the estate comprehensively.
There was a certain entertainment during my outing in watching cars struggle up to the main road as I trudged through 4” of snow on the pavements.
I had a winter wonderland on my doorstep and it didn’t take long for the rest of the world to come out to play.
A walk, arranged with Magpie, was called off because she was snowed in.
Today was quite a novelty but it will not be so when the snow becomes less than virginal, turns into slush, melts and then leaves behind giant puddles.
