Here we go again – Day 37

More fun in the snow.

Today's big walk took us to 'Merchants Golf Course' where we trekked around for a couple of hours. There was even more snow today because it had snowed again during the night. And we're not quite sure what the gritters were doing today well we did see one that was stuck in snow! but the main road nearest our house still hadn't been gritted at 11.30am.

En-route to the golf course we saw loads of cars skidding around all over the place and on one occasion I had to be tied to railings so that Ann could help push a car out of the snow. The lady was a carer so obviously she had 'essential' places to go. Ann wasn't so helpful to people who she thought were just out on a little jolly?!!, Ie, is it really essential for kids to be driven to areas where they can sledge?

Anyway I had another fabulous walk though I have to say; walking in deep snow makes me ever so tired. The last few days I've been going out for 2-3 hours in the morning and then in the afternoon I only go out for about half an hour. This afternoon Ann had to wake me up to go for my walk. In fact she thinks I was dreaming because apparently I was making little squeaky noises in my sleep. Maybe I was dreaming of chasing squirrels or rabbits?

….....................And in other news...........................

Ann had a video interview this afternoon on Microsoft Teams how techie is she for a job in the chocolate factory in St Ives making Easter Eggs for a month. She hasn't a clue when we'll be able to get back down to our house in Cornwall and thought if she had a job, that would be an 'essential' reason to return. Mmmmmm.................. best laid plans and all that. Unfortunately the job available was 40 hours a week, Mon – Fri and obviously there is no way she would leave me 'home alone' for more than 8 hours a day. So that was the end of that idea!!!

To be honest, the last few days have been OK. Even though Ann hasn't seen any other humans, the fact that we're enjoying our long morning walks in nice weather, makes such a difference. In the afternoons, she watches 'Classic EastEnders' while having lunch and then does a bit of painting. She's set herself a little art challenge for February and is recording it on Instagram if anyone is interested. However she doesn't really understand Instagram or how it works, nor does she have many followers/friends or whatever they're called, so pretty much uses it as a platform to record her own stuff so not sure if we can put in a link here??!! We'll try. Has it worked???? And then she takes me out for my afternoon walk and when we come home it's 'wine o'clock' and time to start the evening ritual of watching even more TV/netflix.
