Underneath the larches...
....I dream my dreams away.
Here is the flat-topped Ingleborough as seen under the larch on the top of the Knott, silhouetted against the coloured, criss-crossy dawn sky. Another fabulous start to a blue-skied, balmy February day. Then there was another fabulous sunset at the end of the day. What a week!
We were sat in a meeting room this afternoon agonising over a particularly insoluble piece of casework, when a butterfly fluttered by outside. It was a comma, the first of the year, the first of any butterflies I have seen, teased by the warmth from its hibernation amongst dead leaves. The BBC weatherman said that temperatures in Keswick reached 13 C today. Soon it will be time for Reg to emerge from dreaming his winter dreams away in the fridge, we just need some dandelion leaves to start growing in the lawn.
