Peanuts For Supper

I popped out to give the birds some afternoon food and noticed a few deer standing a little distance away. So I ducked back quickly and grabbed my camera, and then after I threw out the seed and peanuts I squatted down by the front door and waited. Sure enough, they came over for a bit of supper. Every now and then they'd look up at me and then go back to eating, having presumably decided I was no threat. They didn't leave until The Husband started walking towards the house from his workshop. I was glad he did because it was getting a bit uncomfortable trying to stay squatted and not startle them! This is one of the young ones - born last spring.
