Hunting Male

I  can be more positive about the ID this time!

I ventured out around mid morning in the hope of getting a quick blip and I was lucky enough to spot this kestrel at the far side of the field. It then swooped in towards the wilder, rough ground (where I was) and hovered at quite a low altitude. I got lots of shots, but this is probably the best.

Having said, that I also really liked the one I've posted as an extra, but the  bird was further away/higher up, so I've had to crop it a lot more... which has brought down the quality a fair bit.
