Witch Hazel

This is by no means the snowiest image in the garden but certainly one of the more colourful. I measured the depth of snow on the lawn next to the witch hazel at 6½ inches (16.5 cms) which is a lot by Edinburgh standards if one ignores the epic years, such as 2010, which gave us 18½ inches.

We have had snow flurries all day and the possibility of more overnight and I have no plans to go anywhere unless I feel like it.
