Such great aspirations.....

For a five year old...

My daughter is so easily pleased and tries so hard to please others... She has big ideas and great aspirations to be the best at everything and commits wholeheartedly to everything she does.
Keeps inside the lines.... Practices her ballet principles every day if her teacher asks her to, folds her clothes neatly, sticks to the rules, writes immaculately and generally will not be beaten by the hurdles that the everyday throws at her...Or so it seems!!!!!!

Whilst I could sit and write a long long list of my children's traits and little idiosyncrasies the point I'm trying to get to is that I'm discovering a whole new way of looking at kids since I've assisted at my children's school the past two weeks.
The affection and support that classmates give to a child that seemingly lacks in confidence and a can - do nature was so heart warming. The children are so attentive , listen well, and really want to learn!!!
I am so inspired...

"Why is she so surprised?" You may be thinking?... Well I didn't have that confidence either and I don't remember the support from pals and teachers at that young age.. I now realise the importance of embracing my daughters aspirations and how great it is that she has it when it doesn't always come naturally....
Anyhoo!!
A great run this morning... Focussing on speed rather thAn distance at the moment. Good for stamina.

Hairdressers tomorrow and cooking for the weekend as I have two nights out to contend with!! Not usual but not complaining. :-)
