Fast food

I thought it quite sad when I discovered the first McDonald’s in France. Fortunately, they have not driven out a lot of far more interesting and healthy fast food to be found in the market. This morning there was a selection of paella, stuffed squid, chicken and giant prawns, and in the foreground boles de picolat, a popular Catalan dish. The afternoon was spent reorganising 16 years of paperwork from the church Association for submission to the sub prefecture to bring us into line with French regulations, something I discovered had been neglected over that period.
