NZ Scaup...

making their way around the edge of Lake Rotorua.  They are very common around all the local Lakes, bobbing up and down like corks and seemingly never moving far or fast.  They are the smallest of NZ's ducks at 40cm long and weighing 650gms.  A  grey drizzly day with some very welcome rain forecast for tomorrow.
