Lost shoes?

Our morning walk took us to Knocknacree wood car park where these shoes had been abandoned, leading to much speculation as to who, what, why etc?
Judging from the laces, which were neither tied nor untied, it might be assumed that they belonged to a teenager.  The brand name indicates that they were Whitehall Shoes, bought online from ie.SportsDirect.com, where they are currently priced at €26.40, reduced from €52.80 in the Winter Sale, which was extended due to lockdown.
