Tonight, we went out for dinner for our anniversary. Except a) we didn't go out and 2) it's not our anniversary.
Usually, before the war, if we didn't want to cook, we'd go out. Obviously, that option is not available so we ordered in, something that has not happened for at least six years. We went to a really nice restaurant, The Dining Room, and ordered six 'small plates'. I was a little unsure if there'd be enough but it was perfect. I didn't get a photograph, all the dishes were gone too quickly, but can attest that it was fantastic.
Oh, and the reason it's not our anniversary? That's next weekend. Gary's working nights and it's valentine's day, when the world goes mad and normal service, menus, prices are suspended. And they say romance is dead, ha ha.
