Fat flakes

This thick flurry of snow was not a portent of proper snow. It only lasted just long enough for me to hang outside the window and get a blip.
Today’s excitement was not the weather, it was the leg snapping off my glasses that I primarily use for cross stitch and sometimes reading depending on the print size. This necessitated a walking trip to Specsavers who were unable to repair them and I have an appointment for an eye test on Wednesday – and then new glasses. If I am careful I can still cross stitch and balance the one-legged pair on one ear. Since I haven’t had my eyes tested for at least 4 years it is probably a fortuitous inconvenience.
