Dingin' down
Today was a right off. I had a long spell awake in the middle of the night and consequently didn't get up till after 9.
A number of phone calls had to be made: first the electrician to get mum's electrics fixed then a v long call to my friend J in Ferryhill. In the middle of that there were two more incoming calls. One was from H, a family history cousin/buddy and we spoke later in the day. Had to phone the hospital re the Dalteparin question which couldn't be answered so that necessitated a call to the GP. Took a while to get through as their phones had been fried by last night's power cut. I then had to change my urgent/important question into an emergency before I had any chance of getting an answer. Madness. But as expected it came back positive.
I was about to go out, boots and coat on, when H called back so that put paid to that. Long chats about family in NZ. Then a couple of College Team calls.
By then the desultory snow had changed to much more serious snow which I am now watching scudding past the street light. I feel like I've done nothing today, but I'm still exhausted.
