All puffed up

It has been bitterly cold today with snow showers.  F and I went to do our food shopping and the supermarket was almost empty which was great relief.  

The birds must have been glad of garden feeders today. The pied wagtail was back - it only comes into the garden when the weather is particularly cold.  This robin on my vine had puffed out it's feathers to try to keep warm, it must be very difficult for small birds.
