Fleeting Light
We were out today on our sparks, enjoying the fresh air, the snow, the beauty of nature all around us. We had checked out animal tracks on Internet, looking to tell the difference between lynx, dog and wolf and then to return to the tracks we saw yesterday. Our verdict was young, (small) lynx but we aren't experts.
I thought about posting another picture of the snowy forest but I'm getting bored with the same snowy pictures so in the end I went with a picture from inside the house.
The sun is returning and the days grow longer. Every day the sun is higher, the light comes in different windows, from new angles. Today it shone through the bathroom window, indirectly glowed through the slightly open door, and beamed directly, bright and sharp. Ten minutes later it was gone. In a week's time the angles and light will be different. The year and the light will move on. Fleeting phenomena.
And talking of fleeting phenomena, this was a comment I made on anothe blip but it describes life just now...
I've been in two online conversations today. One was with ex-workmates from before I retired, and one with family. The ex-workmates, like me, in Sweden; the family in England; . We all talked about how fed up we are getting, about how we need to meet kith and kin, to travel, to resume life! It is getting hard, both because it has gone on so long, and because we can't plan the Covid end game.
So what do we do? We hang in and endure. Life will turn to a new normal, somewhat like the old normal, and not at all like the present normal. This is a fleeting phenomena...
