JACK IS AT IT AGAIN
Jack Frost makes some marvelous paintings. This one appeared on the kitchen window on the coldest morning of the season....so far. It's very sunny which always means cold (clouds are blankets that hold in the heat) and was painfully evident this Sunday morning. An hour after sunrise it was -15°F. (-26°C.) and the windchill was -27°F. (-32.8°C.)
Now, at 3 P.M. it has risen to 0°F. (-17.8°C.) and the windchill is -19°F. (-28.3°C.). It's expected to be much the same for the remainder of the week.
It's a good that that most churches are holding services virtually as many locals would choose not to venture out this morning...it's really hard on automobiles starting them in very cold weather.
