Unexpected brightness

A dull grey day with very few snowflakes falling. In fact at times they seemed to fall one at a time.

This was a very short lived flash of bright light in the sky.

At lunchtime,
I remembered it was a long time since the car had been anywhere and yes of of course the battery was too flat to start the engine. I had left it too long.

With no urgent need to go anywhere I have opted for buying a Jump start battery pack and leave it till I have charged it and made sure that I can actually drive the car around for at least 30 minutes to get some charge back into the very new (last year) battery.

The car just sits there draining the battery with no obvious way of saving it.  A weeks cold weather seems to just be too much. Only regular use helps keep it healthy.

Do electric and/hybrid cars have these limitations as well as my old petrol car I guess so.
