Bamboos

As designer-in-chief of our plot I thought it would be an unusual idea to have a 'bamboosal' with a variety of specimen bamboos that would not only provide some screening. People thought we were quite mad and told us that they would be invasive and cause us huge problems.
Wrong! They provide us with colour all year round and a lovely cool oasis to sit on those days when temperatures are excessive (yes, we can moan about the heat as well!) The only tending they get is once or twice a year the Head Gardener vacuums up the fallen leaves. Doesn't get much easier than that!
