Looking for Redemption

The old Superintendent's house at the back of the MCI Framingham womens prison. First opened in 1877 as the Sherborn Reformatory for Women, the prison was founded during an age of social reform to protect female inmates from men.

MCI Framingham is one of the oldest prisons in Massachusetts and has a history of poor maintenance. The asbestos-ridden prison was cited for 116 repeat violations during its most recent inspection last year. Covid swept through the incarcerated population in April. It is slated to close in 2024.

In the extra it's snowing again!
