Bunch of wires

Slow Internet, I wonder why??  Openreach have been opening and closing a hatch in the pavement on and off for the last week, earlier today a huge lorry  towing an enormous cable thing parked up over the road and the next thing these bunch of wires appeared from the inspection hole and this poor guy who has been standing over them for hours seems to be doing something with them.  He appears to have worked miracles as we're up and running again - such clever people.

Freezing cold walk today with a smattering of snow.  Cooking a pheasant tonight with a red wine jus, bread sauce, game chips and sprouts - just because I can as wonderful friend gave me the pheasant from her friendly farmer.  I'll let you know if it's as delicious as it sounds as I haven't cooked a pheasant in ages?!
