Strange Beast...

Once again the apocalyptic forecasts and media hype seem to have been overdone. I'm sure the much heralded "Beast from the East 2" has caused problems in parts of the UK but not in my corner of London. Yes, it's been windy and cold but the forecast snow has amounted to no more than a sort of swirling frozen drizzle which was never going to settle on the soaking wet ground.

I was fairly unconcerned in any case as I'd decided to dedicate the morning to watching more cricket and this afternoon eating, idling, reading and napping, in no particular order. Of course I won't be feeling so smug tomorrow if the mercury takes a nosedive, the real snow falls and the journey to work is rendered a miserable, painful endurance test!
