Playing in the snow (Day 2086)

I woke early, and headed out with the woofers for the morning wander up the hill. Overnight snow made the roads tricky and drifitng snow on the track to the carpark for the hill halted my progress in the truck.
Back home  my beautiful wife and I hatched a plan whereby I would drop her off at the yard so she could do hoss stuff, and I would collect Mum to take her to town to get her Covid vaccination. The road through to Stromness wasn't great, but the truck coped pretty well and with no dramas. The trip through to town was slow and steady, a good chance for a blether with Mum and to see Orkney under a blanket of snow.
I took Mum home after her vaccination, then headed to the yard to collect HV and slither home for lunch.
We took the woofers to Lyde for a wander and they thoroughly enjoyed playing in the snow.
Home to do a couple of chores before settling down in front of the rugby.

Three years sober as of today.
