Rainy afternoon

Beautiful sunshine this morning - windows open and a first spring feeling in the air.  So I cleaned the house (it feels fantastic to have a clean house!).  

Out this afternoon for a walk and hot chocolate in the pouring rain.  Soaked children, soaked dog and both of us were pretty damp too.  

Guess we kind of got our day the wrong way around, but everyone was happy.  Very typical picture of the boys, eldest lapping up attention, youngest has somehow found the most comfortable spot leaning against a day sack, he has a knack for this kind of thing. 

Today I'm grateful for: 
Leaving the phone upstairs for almost all day, didn't miss it, didn't want it near me
Reading a book whilst the boys watched tv, no internet, no screens, just sat quietly with them, occasionally talking about Donald Duck (Mickey Mouse is a current favourite here)
A lie-in - although I only love it at the time, I'm generally a bit grumpy if I've had a lie-in
